Art in a lively, bustling space

The works on display are therefore not shown in a closed gallery space with restricted opening hours, but in an environment where hotel guests, business travellers, local residents and art lovers can encounter them on a daily basis.

The exhibition is open every day of the week, 0–24 hours a day, with free admission.

Diána Verebélyi – VéDia

Diána Verebélyi, known by her stage name VéDia, born in Kazincbarcika in 1987. He completed his studies in Miskolc and Nyíregyháza: she obtained her school-leaving certificate at the Eötvös József Secondary School of Art, then trained as a ceramist, and later graduated from Nyíregyháza College with a degree in drawing and visual communication.

His artistic career began at a young age: in 2005, he won the main prize in the József Attila Competition, and in 2009, his work was recognised with the Mihály Gubis Prize. He has been a member of the National Association of Hungarian Creative Artists since 2012.

He has been living and working in Szentendre since 2007, in a town that is one of the key centres of the Hungarian art scene, steeped in tradition.

Constructive thinking, free artistic creation

Diána Verebélyi’s art is often described in specialist reviews as having a constructivist approach. Structure, form, rhythm, space and internal composition play an important role in her works.

His works are not mere depictions. His painting is, rather, the result of a conceptual and visual construction in which colours, planes, forms and materials each carry their own meaning.

His artistic world is also linked to the intersections of painting, sculpture and ceramics. This versatility lends his works a distinctive character: his paintings embody, at once, painterly sensitivity, object-oriented thinking and a spatial perspective.

The language of artistic freedom

Diána Verebélyi’s paintings are created in the spirit of artistic freedom. She often works using mixed media, in which different materials, surfaces, layers and compositional choices come together to form the final work.

His works fit into that strand of contemporary painting in which the picture is not merely a visual spectacle, but also a space for thought. The viewer encounters not just a composition, but an internal order, a world in the making, in which the relationship between forms and colours gives the work its power.

Diána Verebélyi’s art is at once disciplined and free: structured, yet sensitive; modern, yet personal; contemporary, yet relatable.

The message of the exhibition

The exhibition on display at the Garzon Plaza invites visitors to get a closer look at contemporary art.

The exhibition presents not only images, but also an artistic mindset: the way in which Diána Verebélyi constructs her own visual world from shapes, colours, materials and internal rhythms.
