László Tóth from Győr – KAVICH
László Győri Tóth, known by his artist name KAVICH, developed a strong affinity for drawing and visual expression from an early age. His talent was recognised early on, and throughout his art studies and creative development he has engaged with a wide range of techniques, materials and forms of expression.
Her artistic career is not based on a single genre or technique. Alongside his painting, graphic art, portrait drawing, an understanding of classical and ancient painting techniques, experience in restoration, wood and metalwork, tattooing, illustration and digital visual experimentation have all played an important role in his life.
This multifaceted experience has given rise to a distinctive, instantly recognisable visual world. KAVICH’s paintings are not merely decorative compositions, but contemporary works that convey inner meanings, symbols, emotions, rhythms and layers of thought.
The meeting of the conscious and the subconscious
One of the key characteristics of KAVICH’s art is that his paintings simultaneously reflect conscious creative choices and subconscious inner movements.
Her painting often draws on an inner space where memories, desires, fears, personal stories and instinctive visual impulses converge. Her works do not provide direct answers, but rather raise questions. They invite the viewer to engage with the artwork through their own experiences, associations and inner perceptions.
In this way, the images often act as a mirror: they reveal not only what the artist has created, but also what the viewer projects onto them from their own experience.
Colours, rhythms, symbols
Colours, shapes and hidden symbolism play a prominent role in KAVICH’s paintings.
His works often feature an intense, vibrant colour palette. The colours are not merely aesthetic devices, but also convey emotional and intellectual energy. The forms, figures and compositional elements are often part of an inner narrative, offering multiple possibilities for interpretation.
His visual world is at once playful and serious, personal and universal, instinctive and constructed. Humour, musicality, passion, symbolic thinking and inner dialogue all play an equally important role in his works.
Material experiments and classical imaging
For KAVICH, painting is not merely a visual experience, but also an experiential process.
In his works, experimentation with materials and techniques plays an important role alongside traditional methods of image-making. In his paintings, he uses both oil and acrylic paints, and his creative approach is characterised by manual work, a thorough understanding of materials, and the deliberate selection of different surfaces.
For the artist, technique is not an end in itself, but an opportunity to open up new visual worlds and to express as precisely as possible the inner content that gives rise to each individual work.
The message of the exhibition
The exhibition, which runs from 15 November to 15 December, invites visitors to step into KAVICH’s unique visual world.
The works on display are not just there to be looked at, but to be explored. Behind the compositions lie personal stories, symbolic references, emotional states and inner questions.
The exhibition promises to be exciting both for those who are already familiar with contemporary art and for those who would now like to gain a closer insight into original, hand-painted contemporary paintings with a personal touch.
