These house rules apply to the hotel with its guest information leaflet These should be read in conjunction with one another: whilst the guest information leaflet provides detailed information on services, contact details, opening hours and practical information, these house rules set out the basic rules for using the hotel.

By checking into the hotel or making use of its services, the guest accepts the terms set out in these house rules.

1. Check-in, check-out and guest details

The current check-in and check-out times, as well as the options for online services, are set out in the current guest information leaflet.

2. Use of the rooms and hotel facilities

Rooms, communal areas, furnishings and equipment must be used solely for their intended purpose. We ask our guests to treat the hotel’s property, fittings and textiles with care.

Throughout the hotel premises, the possession, consumption, production or distribution of any drugs, psychoactive substances or other illegal substances prohibited by applicable legislation, as well as any unlawful activities related thereto, is strictly prohibited.

Should the hotel’s staff have reasonable grounds to suspect that unlawful activity is taking place, the hotel is entitled and, where necessary, obliged to notify the competent authorities and to cooperate with them in accordance with the law.

In the event of a serious breach of the terms and conditions or behaviour that endangers the safety of other guests, the hotel is entitled to terminate the provision of services.

5. Quiet hours and the peace and quiet of other guests

To ensure our guests can relax, we ask that you refrain from making excessive noise, shouting or engaging in any behaviour that may disturb other guests throughout the hotel.

Quiet hours are between 23:00 and 07:00. During this time, please take particular care to keep the peace and quiet in the corridors, rooms and communal areas.

Hotel staff are authorised to warn guests who disturb the peace and quiet of others. In the event of repeated or serious disturbances, the hotel may take further action.

The guest information guide contains up-to-date information on services, opening hours and contact details regarding the use of the breakfast room, restaurant, bar, lobby and other communal areas.

You must shower before using the swimming pool and jacuzzi. It is forbidden to bring glass cups or glass bottles into the wellness area.

Children under the age of 14 may only use the wellness area under the supervision of a parent or adult.

The use of open flames is prohibited throughout the hotel, as is the bringing in of flammable, explosive or hazardous materials.

In the event of a fire or other emergency, please follow the signposted escape routes and the instructions given by hotel staff. The use of lifts is prohibited in the event of an emergency.

In the event of an accident, illness, fire or any other emergency, please notify reception immediately.

11. Pets, particularly guests travelling with dogs

The Hotel, Garzon and Plaza are happy to welcome four-legged family members too; however, pets may only be accommodated with the hotel’s prior permission, in designated rooms and subject to acceptance of the relevant terms and conditions.

Detailed information regarding the accommodation and charges for pets, as well as the practical conditions of their stay, can be found in the guest information leaflet, at reception and in these house rules.

11.1. Accommodation with a dog

We can only accommodate dogs in the dog-friendly rooms designated by the hotel. A maximum of two dogs may be accommodated in one room.

Dogs are accommodated without any additional services. Guests are responsible for feeding and watering their dog, providing a place for it to sleep, keeping it clean and supervising it.

The hotel only accepts dogs that are healthy, up to date with their vaccinations, and free from fleas and ticks. The hotel reserves the right to ask to see the dog’s vaccination or health certificate.

11.2. General rules regarding dogs at the hotel

Dogs must be kept on a lead or in a carrier at all times in the hotel’s communal areas.

Dogs must not be left unattended in the hotel’s communal areas. Guests are required to ensure that their dogs do not disturb the peace and quiet of other guests, particularly by barking, howling or displaying aggressive or frightening behaviour.

Please ensure, where possible, that your dog relieves itself outside the hotel, its grounds and any outdoor areas. Should your dog leave faeces on the hotel premises or in the immediate vicinity, you are obliged to remove it immediately.

11.3. Using the room with a dog

The dog must not lie on the bed, sofa, armchair or any other furniture.

Hotel towels, bed linen, blankets and other textiles must not be used to clean or groom your dog, or as a place for it to lie down. Please provide your own bedding, blanket and towel for your dog.

Guests are required to report any soiling in the room to reception immediately.

11.4. Cleaning a room where a dog has been kept

The staff will only carry out the daily cleaning of the room if the dog is not in the room or if the owner is present during the cleaning.

Please ensure that the sign informing guests of the dog’s presence is displayed in a clearly visible place, and, if necessary, arrange for cleaning with reception.

11.5. Dog boarding fee and additional cleaning fee

The hotel charges a fee of 30,000 Ft per dog per stay, which covers the extra cleaning, disinfection and allergen removal required for dog-friendly rooms.

The hotel also reserves the right to charge an additional cleaning fee if the condition of the room requires cleaning and disinfection work beyond that normally carried out in dog-friendly rooms.

Such cases include, in particular:

  • removal of urine, faeces, vomit or other contaminants;
  • the treatment of stains resulting from the improper use of hotel textiles;
  • removal of extreme levels of contamination;
  • the need for repeated or more thorough disinfection of the room.

The charge for extra cleaning is 10,000 Ft per session, which is charged in addition to the dog boarding fee.

The additional cleaning charge does not include the cost of repairing any damage or breakages, which will be invoiced separately.

11.6. Damage caused whilst staying with a dog

The guest accepts full financial liability for any damage caused by their dog.

In the event of damage to furniture, doors, walls, textiles or other furnishings, the guest shall be liable for the cost of repairs.

In addition to the cost of repairs or replacements, the hotel is entitled to charge for any proven costs arising from the room being temporarily unavailable for sale.

The basic fee for compensation starts at 15,000 Ft, which may increase depending on the actual extent of the damage.

11.7. Dogs in communal areas

Dogs may only use the communal corridors to access their rooms.

Dogs are not permitted in the breakfast room. They may not be taken into any of the rooms in the wellness area.

Dogs are not permitted inside the restaurant. Dogs may only be present on the restaurant’s enclosed terrace provided that their behaviour does not disturb other guests and the hotel staff have no objection.

If staff indicate that the dog is disturbing other guests, the owner is obliged to cooperate and resolve the situation immediately.

11.8. The hotel’s right to take action in the event of a breach of the rules relating to dogs

If a dog disturbs other guests, poses a danger, causes damage, or if a guest breaches the terms of the house rules, the hotel may issue a warning.

In the event of repeated or serious breaches of the rules, the hotel is entitled to request that the dog be removed from the premises.

In particularly justified cases, the hotel reserves the right to terminate or refuse to provide accommodation.

12. Damage and exceptional cleaning

The guest is fully liable for any damage caused by themselves, the people travelling with them, any visitors they host, or any pets travelling with them.

The hotel is entitled to charge the guest for any reasonable costs incurred in connection with repairs, replacements, cleaning, deodorising or restoration. Should the room be temporarily unavailable for letting as a result of the damage, the hotel is also entitled to claim compensation for the resulting proven loss of earnings.

In the event of excessive soiling, misuse or damage to the hotel’s textiles or furnishings, the hotel may charge an additional fee.

13. Breach of the house rules

In the event of a breach of the house rules, hotel staff are entitled to issue a warning to the guest.

In the event of repeated, deliberate or serious breaches of the rules, the hotel is entitled to refuse or terminate the provision of services, or to ask the guest to leave the hotel premises.

Termination of the service may be particularly justified if the behaviour of the guest, a person accompanying them or a pet travelling with them jeopardises the peace, safety or health of other guests, the hotel staff or the hotel’s property.

The guest concerned is liable for any damage and legal consequences arising from a breach of the house rules.

14. Final provisions

These house rules should be interpreted in conjunction with the hotel’s guest information leaflet, its general terms and conditions, and the applicable legislation.

Where the guest information leaflet contains details of the terms and conditions, opening hours, charges or contact details for a particular service, the most recent version of the guest information leaflet shall prevail with regard to such practical information.

Thank you for your cooperation, and we hope you have a lovely stay!
